Opacity Translucency Transparency

towards a phenomenology of the body

The work investigates the body as a primary entity, primordial matter that you watch in an occurrence. The study starts from the awerness of the body as a living-envelope, a microcosm of the macrocosm, that alternates in space and time, modifying them. An attitude of holding and expressing the crisis to leave a natural body stripped of its clothes. A body exposed that with all its passion and its despair becomes phenomenon, sacrificial lamb. The first part of the daily work is focused on building the body, the second part on the dance. The theme is: Opacity / Translucency / Transparency.

The seminar is for actors, dancers and performers, even beginners, who want to investigate the presence in a performative act. Suggested cloths: shirt, sweater, socks and sport paints.

We can separate 1 / 2 / 3 or create a process 1-2-3 or reverse the reverse 3-2-1

This last part is the line of direction I have chosen for the performance open to the public.

Si narra nel Sutra del Nirvana che la pianta Zoge, avorio per il color dei suoi petali, crescesse con il suono dei tuoni.

"Il lavoro forma un piccolo rettangolo.

Orizzontale, Verticale... Verticale, Orizzontale.

Nella profondità si riduce l'ampiezza.

Sprezza il processo da trasparente a opaco.

Nel mentre la materia produce un sistema,

per poi scardinarlo, renderlo afono."

Il lavoro indaga il corpo come entità primaria, materia primigenia che si lascia guardare in un accadimento. Lo studio parte dalla consapevolezza del corpo come involucro-vivente, un microcosmo del macrocosmo, che si avvicenda nello spazio e nel tempo modificandoli. Un' attitudine all' attesa e alla crisi per lasciare manifestare un corpo naturale spogliato del proprio abito. Un corpo esposto che con tutta la sua passione e la sua disperazione si fa fenomeno, agnello sacrificale. La prima parte del lavoro giornaliero si concentra sulla costruzione del corpo, la seconda parte sulla danza.

Il tema è : Opacità/ Traslucenza/ Trasparenza.

Il seminario è a numero chiuso e rivolto a attori, danzatori e performances, anche inesperti, che vogliano indagare la presenza nell'atto performativo.

Abbigliamento consigliato: tuta, maglietta, felpa, calzini.

Modalità di iscrizione: acconto di 50 euro entro 5 Dicembre 2011 e lettera di motivazione.

Marie-Thérèse Sitzia. She studied contemporary dance with the masters: Maddalena Scardi, Rebecca Murgi, Paola Rampone, Anna Paola Bacalov, Francesco Scavetta, Jean Saportes, Jean Cébron e Paco Decina. Studia danza butoh coi maestri: Daisuke Yoshimoto, Tadashi Endo, Yumiko Yoshioka, Ko Morobushi, Hisako Horikawa, Toru Iwashita, Katerina Batkasaki, Akira Kasai, Masaki Iwana, Yoko Muronoi and Silvia Rampelli. She is a founding member of the dance company buto Lios (Rome) with which she organize the international festival TRASFORM’AZIONI at the Furio Camillo Theatre of Rome. She work sas a soloist in Italy and in foreign countries (Naples, Rome, Milan, Urbino, Jesi, Florence, Ravenna, New York City, Paris, Reveillon, Barcelona, Madrid and Tuscania). She has worked with directors: Paul Brunatto, Andrea De Rosa, Gianluca Riggi, Anna Redi Sambati Marcello, Antonio Calone, Silvia Rampelli, Masaki Iwana and Akira Kasai.
